Year 6 Graduations celebrated across the electorate

As the school year drew to a close, Basil had the pleasure of attending a number of local Year 6 graduation ceremonies across the Churchlands electorate, joining families, teachers and school communities to celebrate an important milestone.

At each ceremony, Basil presented awards, congratulated graduating students and acknowledged the effort and resilience shown by the Class of 2025 as they prepare to take their next step into secondary school. From academic achievement and leadership to community spirit and kindness, the celebrations highlighted the many different ways students have grown over their primary years.

Basil also thanked principals, teachers and school staff for their dedication, and recognised the vital role parents and carers play in supporting children through their education.

“It’s always a privilege to be part of these moments,” Basil said. “Year 6 graduation is a significant milestone, and it’s wonderful to see the confidence, optimism and talent of our local students as they look ahead to the future.”

The ceremonies were a fitting end to the school year, reflecting the strong sense of pride and connection across Churchlands’ school communities.
