Basil, A Local
for the Locals

It is my greatest honour to represent the people of Churchlands in the Western Australian Parliament. My heart and my home belong in Churchlands. I have lived here almost my entire life, attended local schools and played sports in the suburbs, and now I live with my family close to where my parents lived for 70 years in Floreat.

I am a local representing the locals and I welcome you to contact me at the Churchlands Electorate Office.

Living in Churchlands

Churchlands is a vibrant electorate that brings together established suburbs, natural beauty and a strong sense of community pride. It encompasses the suburbs of Churchlands, Glendalough, Wembley Downs and Woodlands, along with parts of City Beach, Doubleview, Floreat, Wembley, West Leederville, Osborne Park and Innaloo.

Home to over 50,000 residents, Churchlands is a place where people are connected, engaged and invested in the life of their community. Families are drawn to excellent local schools and abundant green spaces. Older residents enjoy the security and convenience of well-serviced suburbs. Young professionals are attracted by the lifestyle, location and opportunity.

Local businesses bring energy and employment to the area cafés, retail precincts, health providers and professional services to help shape a thriving local economy.

Whether you live, work or spend time in Churchlands, you’ll find a community that’s proud of its heritage, optimistic about its future and committed to making it even better. Discover more about the Churchlands electorate at the WA Electoral Commission and Parliament of Western Australia.
