Herdsman Discovery Centre play group a delight

The local playgroup at Herdsman Discovery Centre, run by the WA Gould League hosted Basil for a drop in coffee this week, where he met parents and teachers who are passionate about the centre and what it offers to the community.

WA Gould League Chair Mandy showed Basil around and explained some of the programs on offer, which critically keep our youngsters connected with nature in a way many haven't experienced before.

The Centre has interactive elements too - including skinks, bobtails and snakes, and a viewing platform overlooking the whole of Herdsman Lake.  The significance of the lake, it's bird and aquatic life is essential and the work being done at the centre is world class.

Basil will re-visit the centre to discuss in detail some of their priorities in the future.
