Coffee with Baz generates community conversation

Our Coffee with Baz at Bada Bing proved to be a fantastic morning, drawing around 60 engaged community members keen to share their views and hear directly from Basil.

Basil spoke openly about priorities both within the Churchlands electorate and at the State level, giving attendees the opportunity to raise issues that matter most to them. The conversation was wide-ranging and lively, with plenty of constructive input from the floor.

Not surprisingly, traffic and road safety dominated the discussion, with several longstanding intersections in the electorate highlighted as ongoing concerns and Basil noted these as priority areas for continued advocacy. Other topics raised by the community included health services, planning and development, energy and sustainability, crime and community safety, and the future of the racetrack.

The morning was not only a chance to ask questions, but also an opportunity to strengthen community connections. The strong turnout reflects the willingness of local residents to engage in shaping the future of our community.

Basil thanked everyone for attending and welcomed ongoing dialogue, encouraging residents to continue sharing feedback through future forums, emails, surveys, or drop-ins at the electorate office.

Many visitors handed in their surveys from our newsletter, with meaningful feedback for our team to work on. Please fill it in and return to our office if you can - the link for the online version is here.

The next Coffee with Baz will be held at Mellow Cafe, Wembley, on Friday 17 October from 8.30am - 9.30am.
