Health will be our priority from day one

WA’s health system is under extreme pressure, and many people are waiting too long for care. To help alleviate the pressure, the WA Liberals will build a new hospital in Yanchep and expand Joondalup Health Campus into a major tertiary teaching hospital in our first term in government. This will deliver quality care closer to families in Perth's fast-growing northern corridor and reduce demand on other major hospitals.
Too many older West Australians are stranded in hospital wards waiting for aged care. When it closes in 2029, we’ll turn King Edward Memorial Hospital in Subiaco into a transitional aged care facility to appropriately support older patients, at the same time freeing up hospital beds for other patients.
